Resumo

Replacing fouled reverse osmosis (RO) elements into the pressure vessels can be a labor‐intensive, sometimes dangerous, procedure. The operators of the City of Winkler, Manitoba, Canada, water treatment facility designed the Winkler RO Membrane Pusher, which reduced the time required by three operators to remove the membranes from about one hour of physical exertion to approximately 10‐15 undemanding minutes per vessel.
