From 1969 until 1975, he was Senior Lecturer in mathematics at Massey University (New Zealand), where he received a Ph.D. in 1974. From 1975 until 1977, he was a student in the Faculty of Law at Victoria University of Wellington, receiving an LL.B. (honors). He is currently a lecturer in the Faculty of Law at the University of New South Wales. His main interests are, not surprisingly, the applications of mathematics to legal and jurisprudential problems.—Editors
