Resumo以上述べたように,平面度のある程度悪い表面や,各面の直角度がある程度悪い時でも,最小二乗平面を使うデータム決定の手法では一意的でばらつきの少ないデータムシステムを作ることができる.さらに,各面は最小二乗平面という形で対等に処理でき,計算機での扱いに適した方法となっている.図6(c)は,各平面の最小二乗平面によって第1次,第2次,第3次データムの位置を決定している様子である.
