Resumo

A population of Heodes virgaureae L. was studied during one season in southern Sweden. Its occurrence was largely dependent on the chief nectar source Tubuliflorae flowers, and was also influenced by variations in local climate (lococlimate). Individual home ranges were more limited than could be expected from the patchy distribution of the population; in males probably because of territorial behaviour.
