Resumo

This work was done with the objective of evaluating the adaptation of the models in estimating a reduction factor (Kr), as well as to establish an appropriate equation to the Ceará littoral region. The data collections were accomplished in three areas in the State of Ceará: Fortaleza, Pentecoste and Paraipaba. The research was done in the period of february to may of 2002, in microsprinkler irrigated areas, for the following crops: assai, antile cherry, custard apple, cashew, guava, graviola, surinam cherry and sapota. There were made 96 measurements of diameter of the crown, that applicated in ground cover (Cs), determined the reduction factors (Kr) by means of different models considered in literature. The experimental delineation was entirely randomized, being considered treatment each equation of Kr (five) and repetition each culture (eight) the variance analysis showed that it does not exist significant difference for a 5% level and was made a linear regression with the five equations, that supplied an equation adjusted for the study region.
