Cheikella scholiosa, n.g., n.sp., from the Pliocene? of northwest Hejaz [Saudi Arabia] is described and illustrated, and Telekia, new name is substituted for Kochia Hejjas, 1894, (not Frech, 1891). Both genera are fresh-water ostracodes of the family Cyprididae.
