Resumo

The marble of the San Miguel quarry, southwest of Tandil, has been intruded by two different granitic magmas. One was extensively modified through marble assimilation, with diopsidic granitic to quartz gabbroic rocks as end products. The second magma gave rise to a microgranitic dike that was not affected by assimilation. The geology and chemistry of contact features are described.
