ResumoSanyo-Kokusaku Pulp Co., Ltd. has six mills. Gotsu Mill is located in Shimane prefecture. This mill started production in 1951. It has developed many uses from wood components.The mill has one dissolving pulp plant, four sodium carboxymethyl cellulose plants and two yeast production fermenters.Dissolving pulp is made by a Ca-base acid sulfite process from domestic hardwood. The daily production is 320 metric tons. The production capacity of CMC is 700 metric tons per month. Ribonucleic acid and yeast are made from sulfite spent liquor fermentation.The mill recently started methane fermentation from the waste water of a sulfite pulp plant.The mill area is about 560, 000 m2 and there are 500 employees.
