ResumoSir:FigureOur memories—and the creation thereof—are extraordinarily complex and subject to subconscious cues and suggestions. Oddly, cartoon characters seem to be intriguingly susceptible. In 2002, researchers from the University of Washington described a study in which they were able to prompt subjects to remember their encounters with Bugs Bunny at Disneyland.1 Of course, the memories were false, as Bugs Bunny is a Warner Bros. cartoon character, not a Disney one. With regard to plastic surgery, Park et al. describe the perilesional surgical approach for large, disfiguring foreign body granulomas caused by injection of illegal materials such as silicone oil, paraffin, and cooking oil.2 The description of the surgical technique is impeccable, but in case 1, the patient's first appearance is said to resemble the Disney animation character Shrek. As ogreish as the patient may unfortunately appear, she cannot appear like Disney's Shrek, because Shrek is a production of DreamWorks Animation, and not Disney. Andrew H.
