Resumo

SUMMARY A virus resembling adenovirus 127 was isolated from clinically normal ducks. The isolant hemagglutinates chicken red blood cells and the hemagglutination is inhibited by antiserum against adenovirus 127. The virus contains deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), is resistant to treatment with chloroform, and replicates in the nucleus of the cells, where it produces eosinophilic intranuclear inclusion bodies. Electron microscopy revealed a particle of about 75-80 nm resembling adenovirus 127 in morphology.
