ResumoThe usefulness of the Chinese medicine “Mao-Bushi-Saishin-To” for perennial rhinitis was evaluated. All of 33 patients had obstinate nasal blockage which had continued for at least a year despite the administration of anti-allergic drugs for more than three months and/or treatment with hyposensitization for more than one year.1) The rate of effectiveness (excellent or good) of Mao-Bushi-Saishin-To after two and four weeks was 77.4% and 84.8%, respectively.2) The rate of improvement (excellent or good) of nasal blockage were 77.4% after two weeks and 81.8% after four weeks.3) The only side effect was mild constipation in 6.1%.
