Her research interests are foundations of geometry and the work of the geometer Mario Pieri (1860–1913). She is collaborating with Francisco Rodriguez-Consuegra on a book about Pieri's philosophy of geometry, and with Phil Davis and Reuben Hersh on a second edition of The Mathematical Experience for use in the college classroom.Gholam-Ali ZakeriGholam-Ali Zakeri is an associate professor at California State University, Northridge, where he received the Distinguished Teaching Award for 1993. Prior to joining CSUN, he was an associate professor at the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse, where he enjoyed "catching waves" on the Mississippi River. He earned his B.S. from Jundi-Shapour University, M.S. from Michigan State University, and Ph.D. in mathematics from Kansas State University in 1985. His research interests include applied analysis and numerical analysis for partial differential equations. He is faculty advisor of the Math Club and enjoys running and hiking.
