ResumoCalifornia and Baja California, and the Gulf of California have yielded to investigators seven of the ten recognized families of the deep-sea ceratioid angler-fishes: Caulophrynidae, Centrophrynidae, Ceratiidae, Gigantactinidae, Linophrynidae, Melanocetidae, and Oneirodidae.
