Revision of the Anglerfish Diceratiidae with Descriptions of Two New Species

Resumoa new species from Indonesian waters. The nominal genus Paroneirodes is considered a synonym of Diceratias. A detailed osteological description of Diceratias is presented and contrasted with that of Phrynichthys. The family, genera and species are diagnosed and described. Annotated synonymies and a key to the genera and species are provided. Vertical and horizontal distributions within the family are discussed.
