Qualitative Analyses of Fodder in the Semi - Arid of Brazil

Resumo

The semi-arid region in northeastern Brazil, it is characterized as part of the Caatinga biome, with several Brazilian endemic species, among these species are plants of forage potential. The goal of this research was to determine the chemical composition - chemical, samples of pastures and bushes where goat shepherd in SAO JOSE DA TAPERA, and assess their real potential as fodder. After analyses, good potential were found in crude protein for Urena lobata with DM 25.06%, CP 16.04%, NDF 47.48%, ADF 16,73%, MM 7.94%; Zizyphus joazeiro Mart. with DM 36.07%, CP 14.88%, NDF 55.80%, ADF 17.50%, MM 9.76% ; Portulaca oleracea L. Beldroega with DM 25.27%, CP 14.5%, NDF 38.87%, ADF 16.51%, MM 6.42%; Bauhinia forticata L.with DM 37.94%, CP 13.22%, NDF 47.05%, ADF 17.58%, and MM 8.27%; Senna obtusifolia L, Irwin & Barneby with DM 31.73%, CP 13,42%, NDF 28.30%, ADF 24.02% and MM 6.80%. The study of native species and their reproduction will help preserve the biodiversity of the Caatinga biome.
