ResumoInotropic therapy, other than with digitalis glycosides, has had limited success in patients with chronic congestive heart failure. We investigated whether vesnarinone, a new positive inotropic agent, reduces morbidity and mortality and improves the quality of life of patients with symptomatic heart failure.
