Resumo

The parkinsonian disorders are defined by the type of neuronal inclusion, if present, in the substantia nigra, and the distribution of pathologic lesions in other regions of the nervous system. Parkinsonism is often the expression of a neuro-degeneration that may have other clinical presentations. Pick's disease may present with predominant dementia or parkinsonism, and a possibility exists that the pathology of corticobasal degeneration might also present with parkinsonism or dementia.
