Portuguese Abstract: Este trabalho e uma reflexao sobre a importância, os obstaculos e as possiveis estrategias para propiciar acesso ao conhecimento por meio de bens comuns intelectuais. Apresenta brevemente o conceito de bens comuns intelectuais e afirma a relevância de sua aplicacao, particularmente no contexto educacional, por fatores relacionados a: justica social; contexto socioeconomico (neoliberalismo e mercantilizacao); a emergencia de novos tipos de producao colaborativa. Identifica obstaculos a implementacao de tais bens comuns e a eficacia deles para o acesso ao conhecimento (perpetuacao de desigualdades ― economicas, educacionais etc. ― no acesso aos bens comuns; bens comuns “predatorios”; permanencia ou metamorfose da mercantilizacao). Conclui apontando algumas estrategias (ou caracteristicas de bens comuns intelectuais) que possam fazer frente a esses obstaculos: copyleft, padroes abertos, localizacao, documentacao, inclusao social, resistencia a mercantilizacao.English Abstract: This work is a reflection on the importance, the obstacles to, and the possible strategies to provide access to knowledge through intellectual commons. It briefly introduces the concept of intellectual commons and affirms the relevance of their use, particularly in the educational context, based on factors related to: social justice; socioeconomic context (neoliberalism and commodification); the emergence of new types of collaborative production. It identifies obstacles to the implementation of such commons, and to their effectiveness for access to knowledge (perpetuation of inequalities - economic, educational etc. - in the access to commons; predatory commons; commodification's continuity or metamorphosis). It concludes pointing out some strategies (or intellectual commons' characteristics) that can grapple with these obstacles: copyleft, open standards, localization, documentation, social inclusion, resistance to commodification.
