O agnosticismo platônico no Fédon de Platão

ResumoResumo : Tratar‑se‑ a aqui do problema epistemologico que envolve afirmacoes relativas a alma e ao Alem no contexto do Fedon de Platao. Especial atencao sera dedicada aos elementos teoricos que jogam forte duvida sobre aspectos considerados essenciais da metafisica do filosofo, quais sejam: a relacao corpo‑alma, a morte enquanto bem e/ou mal, a natureza eterna da alma, bem como aos valores e limites das provas e contraprovas apresentadas no contexto dramatico do texto. The Platonic agnosticism in the Plato’s Phaedo Abstract : The aim of the paper is to analyse the epistemological problem involving statements concerning the soul and the afterlife in the context of the Phaedo . Special attention is dedicated to the theoretical elements that cast doubts on aspects considered essential for his metaphysics, namely: the relationship between the body and the soul, death as good and/or evil, the eternal nature of the soul as well as the values and limitations of the evidence and counterproofs presented in the dramatic context of the text.
