ResumoThe aim of this essay is to draw some conclusions regarding the myth of Isis and Osiris, under the categorical guidelines of mystery and repetition as suggested by the philosophical approach of Schelling, Kierkegaard and Eudoro de Sousa. The work of the first two philosophers will be used as a framework for the problem under analysis in this essay.Concerning Eudoro de Sousa, and departing from the myth of the horizon, we will focus on his understanding of the mystery's cipher of the world's coming into being and his concept of catabasis in order to accomplish our aim. Moreover, Plutarch's work Isis and Osiris and Apuleius' The Golden Ass are inescapable references in order to achieve this goal.
