ResumoITS sequence analysis and inter-simple sequence repeat(ISSR) technique was used to analyze genetic diversity of forty-nine isolates of Beauveria bassiana isolated from Ostrinia furnacalis(Guenee) in different maize producing areas in Jilin Province. ITS sequence analysis showed no correlation between genetic relationship and geographical origin among all tested strains. Nine subpopulations was divided for further analysis by ISSR assay according to collection sites, the results indicated the highest genetic diversity index in Yushu strain and the lowest in Shuangliao strain. The highest genetic differentiation coefficient(Gst) was between Shuangliao and Tonghua, and the maximum genetic distance was between Lishu and Tonghua. Three subpopulations were divided for ISSR analysis according to host voltinism types, the results showed the highest genetic diversity index in strains isolated from first generation subpopulation and the lowest genetic diversity index and Gst in mixed type of first/second subgeneration host population and the maximum genetic distance between the first and the second generation subpopulation. In conclusion, the B. bassiana isolated from Asian corn borer in Jilin Province had high genetic diversity and population heterogeneity, the genetic diversity was related with host voltinism while not with geographical origin.
