ResumoIn this study, we describe a new method of estimating the complex spectrum ratio between the radial and vertical components of the receiver function from teleseismic P waveforms recorded by a three-component station. Our method is based on the multi-channel maximal likelihood deconvolution theory by Shumway and Der (1985).According to the theory by Tarantola(1987) we also present a nonlinear inversion algorithm of the complex spectrum ratio of the receiver function.Besides modeling the complex spectrum ratio, the onset amplitude ratio between the vertical and radial components of the receiver function in time domain is fitted also in our inversion procedore. The synthetic inversion test has demonstrated that the inverted model by our method is independent on the initial models.AS an example, the lithospheric receiver functions at the CDSN-LZH station have been obtained by using our method. Their variation with azimuths have been found. The newly developed inversion method has been used for investigating the fine lithosphere S velocity structure beneath the CDSN-LZH station. Our results show 54km thick crust and 94km thick lithosphere.
