ResumoSorbonne and Manissa are very important cultivars in the cut flower market. Therefore, the study of bulb production technology is helpful to solve the problems of bulbs domestic production. In order to produce large size bulbs, small bulbs of 12-14 cm were chosen for the experimental materials. The effects of inflorescence bud removal at different time on bulb quality were studied. The results showed that there was significant difference between cultivars. For Oriental Hybrid Llilium Sorbonne,it was the best removing period when inflorescence bud was at 1 cm,the average weight of bulb was 49.16 g,the circumference was 16.93 cm,the height of plant was 62.10 cm,the soluble sugar content(FW) was 63.47 mg/g,the sucrose content(FW) was 57.93 mg/g and the starch content(FW) was 219.54 mg/g.For Oriental×Trumpe Hybrid Lilium Manissa, the best period was at 1 cm and 2 cm,when removing inflorescence bud was at 1 cm,the average weight of bulb was 55.31 g,the circumference was 17.12 cm,the height of plant was 70.17 cm,the soluble sugar content(FW) was 75.60 mg/g,the sucrose content(FW) was 68.16 mg/g and the starch content(FW) was 257.53 mg/g.In both of the two cultivars, when removing buds at flowering time and 5 days after flowering, the bulb size and nutritive substance were less than the control.
