Resumo

Surface of moso bamboo was heat-treated in this study.Droplet method was used to measure respectively the surface contact angle with water, formamide and diiodomethane before and after heat treatment.Bamboo components changed between the untreated and treated condition was compared by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR),which further aimed at testing surface wettabiliy of bamboo. The results showed that temperature and duration of heat-treatment have significant impact on the surface wettability of bamboo.Compared with control samples, contact angle of heat-treated bamboo increased.Different kinds of liquid differently influenced the wettablity of bamboo.During heat treatment, cellulose and hemicellulose in moso bamboo degradated and the number of-OH decreased, which resulted in the decreasing in moso bamboo surface wettability.
