Resumo

Knowing that generate economic importance timber forest resources in the world, the aim of the research was to propose economic valuation of timber species found in coffee agroforestry system at de hills of the Parish Union of Jipijapa municipality. Species identification by random sampling stratified established a complete inventory of woody stocks to meet the scientific and technical management of coffee shade plantations, forests ecological backup, use and cost of timber extracted in selected farms. With on-site assessment through surveys determined dasometric ecosystem diversity and rich coffee timber found mainly Cordia alliodora, Cedrela odorata, Triplaris guayaquilensis, Erithrina poeppigiana. In conclusion indicates that coffee agroforestry systems promote proper land use and appropriate social conditions of human group established at mountain sector of Jipijapa municipality that achieves sustainable coffee yield in balanced agroforestry coffee ecosystem.
