ResumoAs a new technical collection discipline of intelligence,MASINT is both the most important and the most basic intelligence source of U. S. intelligence community. It can make up for the traditional disciplines with more essential and accurate intelligence. The paper elaborates the definition,classification and history of MASINT,and expounds the main function of it.
