Bandpass Filter Used for PD UFH Detecting in GIS

In order to improve the SNR of UFH PD detecting system using outer antenna in GIS, this paper designs a microstrip bandpass filter, whose work frequency band is 300~1 000 MHz. According to the microstrip filter design principle, the type, structure and optional series can be determined, then the structure simulation and optimization of filter are designed by using advanced EDA simulation tool, and a method of miniaturized microstrip filter is put forward. The results of performance test show that, it can suppress the low frequency noise, enlarge the PD signal and improve the SNR, so it can meet the pretreatment demand of UHF feeble PD signals.
