Replacement of the Line-side Winding for No.408329 Converter Transformer in Guangzhou Converter Station

Aiming to the serious disfigurement of the No. 408329 converter transformer detected with chromatogram analysis method in Guangzhou Substation, the examination and repair works have been carried out with the following scheme: to wind two new line-side wingdings with single wire coiling for the purpose of replacing the whole existing line-side winding. Simulation calculations show that the implementation of the scheme eliminates the circulating current loss while increases the eddy current loss a little, but the total on-load loss keeps almost unchanged. The data of leave factory test after the repair show that all the key characteristic indexes, such as the local let-out quantity, the chromatogram characteristics after temperature rised, the total loss, are almost the same as that of the product index, indicating the repair work is full successful.
