A New Species of the Genus Parlatoria (Hemiptera:Diaspididae) from China

In the present paper one new species of the genus Parlatoria from China is described. All the type specimens are deposited in the Entomological Museum of Northwest Sci-Tech University of Agriculture Forestry. Parlatoria menglunensis, sp. nov. (Fig. 1) The new species is similar to Parlatoria pergandii Comstock, but can be distinguished from the latter by: 1) pygidium with 4 pairs of well-developed pygidial lobes; 2) pygidium with 30 dorsal macroducts; However, Parlatoria pergandii, 1) 3 pairs of well-developed pygidial lobes; 2) pygidium with 10~20 dorsal macroducts. Holotype: ♀ , Menglun County, Yunnan Province, 26- -1974, collected by YUAN Feng; Paratypes: 2♀♀, same data as the holotype.
