ResumoA high-performance and low-power Calliope SoC platform was presented and implemented for wireless audio application.On this platform,a CK510E processor with multimedia DSP instruction extension was used to support different audio codec standards,an ASIC IP for FEC(Forward Error Correction)coder was used to improve wireless channel error correcting capability,and a peripheral interface IP for dual-protocol digital audio interface was employed to support both I2S and S/PDIF standards.The methodology for implementing wireless audio codec algorithm on Calliope SoC platform was presented.The experiment showed that the FEC codec used in the wireless system could reduce the packet dropping rate from 7.21% to 4.28% under motion condition.The Calliope SoC platform is capable of implementing real-time audio encoding/decoding for SBC,MP2 and FLAC applications at 40 MHz,80 MHz and 70 MHz,respectively.
