Resumo[Objective] To investigate the immunoloregulation effects of Astragalus Polysaccharide (APS) on T helper lymphocyte subgroups in non-obese diabetic (NOD) mice. [Methods] In APS group and control group, infiltrated lymphocytes of islets were analysed by immunocyto-chemistry, and CD4+/CD8+ ratio of T lymphocytes from spleen was analysis by flow cytometer. The mRNA expression of IL-1β, IL-2, IL-6, IL-12, TNF-α, INF-γ of islets were detected with RT-PCR in two groups. [Results] Compared with control group, CD4+ /CD8+ ratio of T lymphocytes from spleen was lower, and CD4+ T lymphocytes of islets were less, and the mRNA expression of IL-1β, IL-2, IL-6, IL-12, TNF-α,INF-γ was lower in APS group. [Conclusions] It proves the preventive effects of Astragalus Polysaccharide on the onset of type 1 DM by correcting the immunal imbalance of Th1 subgroups and its cytokines in NOD mice.
