ResumoConventionally used metallic shields may not be ideal for airbourne applications where the overall weight becomes an important criterion. Polymer based shielding materials not only provide a good alternative to metallic shields but also allows tuning of the properties of the material to meet the specific requirements. In this study, the shielding properties of MWCNT and CNF filled silicone rubber (SR) were studied and the results are compared with a new composite, SR composites sandwiched in between CNF wafers.
