Resumo

During robotic assisted gait rehabilitation, give feedback to the patient has become essential to inform him/her about his/her performance, in order to motivate him/her and enhance his/her rehabilitation. We performed a study to determine if there are differences in patient's performance receiving two different types of feedback (biomechanical and EMG based), when trained with the driven gait orthosis (DGO) Lokomat (Hocoma AG, Volketswil, Switzerland). We compared the biomechanical data (joint forces) recorded by Lokomat's sensors during training. Preliminary findings obtained shown that different feedbacks produce meaningful biomechanical differences.
