espanolEl primer contacto de los ninos con el mundo clasico suele tener lugar a traves de la literatura infantil y juvenil, y concretamente a traves de las adaptaciones de los mitos clasicos, que forman una parte esencial de esa literatura. En este trabajo se recogen algunas de las mas significativas recopilaciones de mitos escritas para ninos y jovenes en el s. XIX, poniendo especial enfasis en las justificaciones y motivaciones expuestas por sus autores para explicar sus obras. EnglishThe first contact of children with the classical world is usually produced through children’s literature, and concretely through the adaptations of classical myths, which are an essential part of this literature. This paper brings together some of the most significant collections written for children in the 19th century and emphasizes the reasons and motivations set out by their authors to explain their plays.
