ResumoThis review concerns itself with the recognition and treatment of the common and rare complications of groin hernia (direct, indirect, and femoral) repair. Preoperative complications such as incarceration and intestinal obstruction, operative complications such as hemorrhage and nerve severance, and postoperative complications such as compression of the femoral vein and urinary retention are discussed.
