Resumo

FPA infrared cameras are presently at a fast development stage, owing to the rapid increase of the computers performances but, up today, only a few works have dealt with the characterization of such equipments. We present here the results of our first characterization tests, realised with a long wave FPA camera (CEDIP IRC 320-4 LW).Our study was led according to three directions : spatial resolution (in order to point out the correlation between neighbouring pixels), temporal resolution (as a function of the windowing of the matrix) and, finally, thermal resolution.
