I am the Walrus is an expression of desire unbound and, ultimately, undone. The action flits between the lives and events leading to the assassination of John Lennon at the hands of fanatic Mark Chapman in December 1980, and a case of matricide that occurred in a Berkshire manor a few weeks later.
