On October 17, 1810 iel signaled the start of the now largest and best known Festival in the world. Five days previously married Ludwig of Bavaria Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen. In honor of this event was the first horse race in a meadow on the outskirts of Munich instead of.
