Resumo

Super hero comics have become an ubiquitous media in the current context. There are many analyses, approaches and possible interpretations of the phenomenon, as it can be seen in the increasing number of academic researches that take them as subject matter. In this article we address the religious semantics present in this category of characters, relating it to the social and cultural contexts in which some of them were created. It is a panoramic look, which wants to contribute as a possible key to reading super hero comics.
