ResumoThe supporting structures of the knee can be divided into several layers: fascial boundaries, the collateral ligaments and tendons, and the joint capsule. MR imaging's ability to demonstrate these findings has helped to validate this anatomic concept. An appreciation for the organization of the medial and lateral compartments facilitates MR imaging interpretation.
