A woman who suffered a traumatic cauda equina injury had areflexic detrusor dysfunction with normal intravesical filling pressure. The patient had moderate proximal urethral dysfunction resulting in incontinence despite an adequate intermittent self-catheterization regimen and treatment with an alpha-sympathomimetic drug. Following supra-pubic endoscopic vesical neck suspension she has remained totally continent on intermittent self-catheterization. © 1984 by The American Urological Association Education and Research, Inc.FiguresReferencesRelatedDetailsCited ByKondo A, Kato K, Gotoh M, Takaba H, Tanaka K, Kinjo T and Saito M (2018) Quantifying Thread Tension is of Clinical Use in Stamey Bladder Neck Suspension: Analysis of Clinical ParametersJournal of Urology, VOL. 141, NO. 1, (38-42), Online publication date: 1-Jan-1989.Woodside J and Borden T (2018) Suprapubic Endoscopic Vesical Neck Suspension for the Management of Urinary Incontinence in Myelodysplastic GirlsJournal of Urology, VOL. 135, NO. 1, (97-99), Online publication date: 1-Jan-1986.
