As with the other photosensitizers, hematoporphyrin derivative and chloroaluminum tetrasulfophtalocyanine, tin (II) etiopurpurin dichloride and light caused a rapid decrease in tumor blood flow in this tumor model. The decrease in blood flow occurred whether the vehicle for photosensitizer delivery was an emulsion or a liposome. Systemic heparinization of animals prior to light treatment did not alter changes in tumor blood flow. © 1990 by The American Urological Association Education and Research, Inc.FiguresReferencesRelatedDetailsCited bySelman S and Keck R (2018) The Effect of Transurethral Light on the Canine Prostate after Sensitization with the Photosensitizer Tin (II) Etiopurpurin Dichloride: A Pilot StudyJournal of Urology, VOL. 152, NO. 6 Part 1, (2129-2132), Online publication date: 1-Dec-1994.Bachor R, Shea C, Belmonte S and Hasan T (2018) Free and Conjugated Chlorin E6 in the Photodynamic Therapy of Human Bladder Carcinoma CellsJournal of Urology, VOL. 146, NO. 6, (1654-1658), Online publication date: 1-Dec-1991.
