Within 6 weeks in vitro morphologic transformation occurred, after which the cells proliferated rapidly. They exhibited the SV40 T-antigen by immunofluorescence and survived propagation beyond the limited lifespan of uninfected cultures. We suggest that this may be a useful technique in establishing stable cell lines of human prostate. © 1976 by The American Urological Association Education and Research, Inc.FiguresReferencesRelatedDetailsCited ByBaker L, Mebust W, Chin T, Chapman A, Hinthorn D and Towle D (2018) The Relationship of Herpesvirus to Carcinoma of the ProstateJournal of Urology, VOL. 125, NO. 3, (370-374), Online publication date: 1-Mar-1981.
