Resumo

Food analysis: contextualization and interdisciplinarity in continuing training courses. The present paper is a report about a workshop for Biology and Chemistry teachers. We focused on the information provided on the labels of processed foods.Food is a subject that has a strong relationship with people's daily lives and with issues of social and environmental nature.Based on this perspective we discussed data on food production and global demand as well as the concept of sustainable gastronomy. The contextualization of the contents of Chemistry and Biology through the student daily situations and their interdisciplinary relationships in curriculum structuring was presented in documents such as PCN and OCN.To associate the information provided on the labels with the contents of Chemistry and Biology introduced in high school, we carried out experiments and theoretical-practical discussions on the properties to be assessed and the experimental results obtained.
