Resumo

Development and Application of a WebQuest for Organic Chemistry Teaching: Biorational Control of the Fall Armyworm.This report presents an experience dealing with the development and application of a WebQuest related to a topic which is directly connected to the daily routine in a school, where it was used.The WebQuest was utilized in three moments of 50 to 60 min.during extra class period together with students of the High school 3rd year in a private school in Morro Agudo (São Paulo).Morro Agudo is part of a mainly agricultural region characterised by big plantations.We will demonstrate how the WebQuest was developed, the choice of the topic and the importance of approaching controversial socio-scientific topics in Chemistry classes.The proposal was to work with the didactic transposition of knowledge which was developed in a research laboratory of Chemistry to be applied in the classroom.In response to our work, pupils took on an active posture, discussing, questioning, suggesting, producing and reconstructing their repertoire based on the collected data and the newly acquired knowledge.
