A schematic dioptric apparatus for the frog's eye (Rana esculenta)

The necessary data were measured for the computation of a schematic eye for a frog (Rana esculenta) in non-paralysed and paralysed conditions (Flaxédil). The consequences for the image forming on the retina with and without correction lenses is discussed (paralysed condition). A possible manner of accommodation is considered. The visual fields of one eye and both eyes were estimated. The situation of underwater vision is also considered in comparison to vision in air.
