espanolEn la redaccion de un articulo cientifico es necesario organizar los datos de tal manera que sean claros y patentes para el lector. Debe existir un perfecto equilibrio entre texto y elementos graficos (tablas y figuras) para evitar la informacion redundante. De esta forma, las tablas y figuras en los articulos cientificos son como el decorado, en donde las tablas funcionan como «la imagen de los datos» y las figuras como «la imagen de las ideas». Bien disenadas y realizadas, realzan el trabajo, agilizan el argumento y proporcionan relajacion visual al conjunto del texto. De lo contrario, aburren y distraen al lector del mensaje. Los elementos graficos no deben anadirse simplemente porque se dispone de ellos, sino que debemos razonar objetivamente su utilidad para mejorar la calidad de informacion del texto cientifico. EnglishWhen a scientific paper is drawn, it is necessary to organize so that they must be clear and patent to reader. There should be a perfect balance between text and graphics (tables and figures) to avoid redundant information. Thus, tables and figures are as scenery where tables work as data and figures as the image of ideas. If they are well designed and performed, they enhance work, streamline evidence and provide visual relaxation throughout text. Otherwise, they get bored and distract reader from message. Graphic elements should not simply be added because we have them, but we must think objectively its utility in improving quality of information from scientific text.
