ResumoQUATERNARY DEPOSITS UNDER FUTURE FRONT DAM OF THE PŁOCK STAGE OF FALL ON WISŁA RIVER Summary The geological-engineering studies on projected front dam of the Plock stage of fall on Wisla river did not confirm in general the conclusions, based on analysis of archive well profiles and other documents. Results of drill works and granulometric laboratory analysis put in a new light the geological structure of ~he Quaternary deposits and depth occurrence of erosional-glacitectonic top of the motley Pliocene clays (Tertiary) on studied area. Deep and wide valley was found in top of the Pliocene, infilled with Quaternary deposits of various genesis of South-Polish and North-Polish Glaciations. Studies results could verify current stratigraphy of Quaternary deposits and morphology of top of Tertiary basement near future Plock dam.
