Following its appearance in literature, the fantastic found in cinema and television a new medium of expression to disturb viewers. In 2004 Filmax started work on six made-for-televison films, coordinated by Narciso Ibañez Serrador and directed by well-known filmakers, with the intention of paying tribute to Ibáñez Serrador himself and his celebrated TV show Historias para no dormir, a pioneer in the genre in Spain. The aim of this research is to find the fantastic, and the strategies use by the filmmakers in its creation.
