ResumoTime is up for those scientists wanting to test whether an Irish company's simple magnetic device can make energy out of nothing. After placing a £75 000 full-page advertisement in the 18 August issue of the Economist, Steorn – a small Dublinbased firm specializing in fraud prevention – said it will no longer accept any more applications to review its thermodynamics-flouting machine, which supposedly triples the energy input into it.
